Over the weekend, controversial Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh underwent her introductory ceremony to her famous boo, ‘Mr X’ who has now been known to be named Olakunle Oladunni Churchill. His identity is one that has been closely guarded by Tonto for months.

Here’s what we know about him:

1) He was born and bred up in Lagos.

2) He is a nephew to Olusegun Obasanjo being the son of the former president’s younger brother. This now means, Tonto Dikeh is an in-law to the past president.

3) He is the chairman of Big Churchill Haven Limited and is also the CEO of Big Church Entertainment which is located on Awolowo road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

4) His company, Big Churchill Haven Limited is a tech firm that deals with IT solutions. They specialize in software management.

5) It was alleged in some reports that Churchhill Oladunni was married to a lady named Bimbo Coker in December 2012. Some other sources claim that he was indeed previously married but has since separated from his former spouse who is currently living in Malaysia.

Shocking! DSS Reportedly Arrests Chocolate City Boss, Audu Maikori

Men of The Department of Security Services, DSS, have reportedly arrested the President of the Chocolate City Music Group, Audu Maikori.

The arrest come after Audu Maikori took to his social media page n Twitter to reveal a story of how five secondary school students were killed in the Southern Kaduna crisis.

Audu Mikori some days after tweeting the story took to his page to issue a statement retracting the claim as he added that his driver had fabricated the story to extort money from him.

Men of the DSS were reported to have arrested the Chocolate City President in Lagos and has since been transported to Abuja.

Bimbo Akintola Speaks On How Joke Silva Influenced Her Acting Career

Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akintola has dished on how veteran actress and film school founder, Joke Silva influenced her career and changed her father’s perception of actors after he came to watch her on stage.

In a recent interview, Bimbo Akintola who made her acting debut in a 1995 movie titled ‘Owo Blow’ said, ‘Joke SIlva has done a lot, but it’s not even about the things that she did, it’s about the things she didn’t realize that she did’.

She explained further, ‘my father thought actors were never–do–well, you know how it is. Because at that time, most of the actors we had were so passionate about the art that even though they weren’t making money, they were happy to be in the arts’.

‘They were poor people, and what my father saw was me choosing a life of poverty, and he couldn’t understand it. “Okay if you don’t want to do anything else, go study English and become a teacher,’  he said. He wanted me to do so many other things’.

Bimbo Akintola and Joke Silva have both appeared together on a number of productions including ‘Hear Word’, ‘Keeping Faith’, ‘Lasgidi Cops’ and more.

Speaking on how she was able to finally convince her father to give into her choice of career,  Bimbo said, ‘We argued about if for a while, and I won because I knew I wouldn’t be happy doing any other thing. But he still wasn’t happy about it. And then I got to do this job with Aunty Joke, and I told her about my struggle with my dad. She said ‘Oh, bring him to the performance,’ and I did.

‘My father met her and he was so impressed by Aunty Joke that he didn’t care. He was just thinking ‘if this is the sort of person that is an actor, then my daughter should be an actor.’  From then it was okay. It wasn’t the awards, it was just meeting Aunty Joke’.

‘My Greatest Regret Is That I Married More Than One Wife’ – Jide Kosoko

Popular Nigerian actor, Jide Kosoko, has revealed that his greatest regret in life is that he ended up a polygamist as he married four wives.

The actor, who has lost three of his wives to the cold hands of death, told Punch newspaper that he does not wish polygamy for even his enemy.

“Let me say this today for the first time, from the beginning of my life I never planned to be a polygamist. I found myself in that situation and I had to adjust to the system. I didn’t set out in life to go into polygamy,”,the 62-year-old actor said.

“I was never designed to have more than one. My major regret in life is that I went into polygamy. I regret it.

“Let me tell you, I don’t pray that my enemy should practice polygamy.

And, this should be a lesson to the young ones coming. I know some people will say their religion permits it, but the religion did not enforce it. I have serious business to do now. I have young children to take care of.”

Kosoko, who has 12 children was asked if he would love to have more children, he said, “That will be madness. Stage madness. Apart from age, if you hear that Jide Kosoko welcomes new baby tomorrow, I am sure you will say this man is mad.

“Am I going to be selling the children to make money?” Kosoko asked rhetorically.

Uche Ogbodo Defends Self After Getting Blasted For New Hair Cut

Nollywood actress and producer, Uche Ogbodo defended herself today in an interview with Punch Newspaper’s Saturday Beats. She coming under fire for her new hair cut on instagram this past week.

“I am aware of all the negative comments people posted on my wall after I uploaded a picture some days back. That picture and the make-up were done for a designer that contacted me for a celebrity runway gig. The make-up artist felt that was the look that would work for them. I am an artiste and that work puts food on my table. In my past interviews, I have always said that I can do anything for my job. I don’t care what people think or say about me. It does not affect me in anyway and it is not going to make me cry neither would it make me feel bad about myself because I am a very confident woman.”

“I began losing weight because after I had my baby, some people said that I was too fat while others felt I was not looking okay so I had to go to the gym to work on my body. I am a very busy girl and I work round the clock. If I am working on my body, it is because of the love I have for myself and my job so anybody who does not like it should know that I don’t care. If you don’t like the make-up applied on my face, then that is your business.”

“Last week, I was filming in Abuja and I played the part of a tomboy so I needed to cut my hair to look the part. I have a full hair and I always cut my hair. It is my job and I will do anything I have for it. When the director told me to cut my hair to fit the role better, I did not think twice about it and that was why I did the Mohawk style. Right now, I am producing my movie and I am going to play the part of a blind girl. I will do anything to get into character. I don’t care what people say about my looks. I get bored with one particular look and if you know me well, I change my looks from time to time and if you do not like it that is your business. I don’t care about what anybody says; I wore the dress that the designer made and the make-up artist worked on my face to sell the product. When I got on the runway, people liked it and they took pictures. That was why I decided to upload it on my Instagram page so that my followers would have a feel of what I did over the weekend.

“Instead of applause, I got comments that I look like a masquerade or I am very dark. I am tired of insulting people on my page. I have a very sharp tongue and if I start to talk, people would say I am rude and I would later have to apologise for it. What I have learnt about being a celebrity is that you can never satisfy everyone. My career demands that I look different at all times. I am going to post a picture of me as a blind girl and I don’t care what people say,” .

“Before I got married, I had always dated people who lived outside Nigeria. As a result, being married to someone who lives abroad does not seem bizarre. I didn’t plan to marry someone who lives abroad. Rather, it just happened.”

The advice she had for ladies:

“Marry because you know this is what you want to do once in your lifetime. You have to be married to someone you can do everything with. Don’t marry because people say it is time to get someone. Get married for yourself. The pressure today will not be worth the ache tomorrow.”

Veteran actress and entertainer, Hilda Dokubo spoke in an interview with Sunday Scoop yesterday. She spoke of her endeavours, marriage and denied that she has left acting.

Read what she said:

“I do this through training. I have 50 kids who are not my biological children. I have three biological children, but I’ve adopted 50 others. These children need support and I can give them that. What I do is pay their school fees, buy them clothes and give them food. I also help them find homes.”

“Acting is like my second life. If you say I left acting , it is like saying that I died. What happened was I felt like giving back to the society that has loved me so much.  I chose to go back to work with communities, see and feel like real people. I’m not done doing community work, but this is my time to come back and share those experiences in my work. I never left Nollywood, it was just a small break which was worthwhile.”

After a long while of separation, Hilda Dokubo reconciled with her husband, Karo Mrakpor:

“Everything in life has stages and time. If I say I’m a Christian and love God, then I should be able to live a life that Christ would be proud of. It doesn’t matter who is right or wrong in a relationship.  We did it for ourselves, our children, others, but most importantly for God.”

Nollywood Veteran, Pete Edochie spoke about his many impersonators on Facebook and Twitter. He expressed that so many posts have been made, none of  which were from him:

“It’s either they are talking about politics, state of the nation, ascribing series of proverbs to me or using my name to counsel people about marriage.”

Akiyesi’s first marriage was in 2003 to his university love, Ezinne. He was alleged to still be married to Ezinne when he contracted another marriage with Lilian who was said to be eight months pregnant and living in Port Harcourt.

When Solomon attempted to marry another wife, Uloma Agwu in Lagos on April 13, 2013, Lilian stormed the church in the company of police officers to stop the wedding.
