The young talent once shared a video of herself singing an impressive mashup of 21 Jon Bellion songs in under two minutes.

The indigenous rapper obviously proud of what the talented young lady did with his top hits shared the video on his Instagram page.

This Is Why Monalisa Chinda Thinks Actresses Keep Quiet About Sexual Harassment

Nollywood star Monalisa Chinda has said actresses are often quiet about incidents of sexual harassment over the fear of stigmatisation and the resultant effect on their careers.

Chinda said this while appearing as a guest on The Other News, a satirical show hosted by comic-actor Okey Bakassi on Channels Television.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) had recently expressed its determination to put an end to all forms of sexual harassment in Nollywood.

When asked to weigh in on the subject, Chinda said many actresses are not comfortable enough to open up about such incidents, while adding that she’s never been a victim.

She said:

“It’s a bit uncomfortable for someone to come out and say I was cornered to sleep with a producer because of a role,” 

“They keep quiet about it because of their careers. Apart from that, the society stigmatises these women. So you just swallow your pride.

“When you are outside the shores of Africa, women are heroes for coming out to speak about sexual abuse, but here.”

Speaking further, Chinda expressed her standpoint on domestic abuse and also urged women to avoid “provoking” their husband or instigating violence.

She said:

“As much as I detest all forms of violence against women and men, women should quit provoking their man by beating punches and slaps.

“I’m a domestic violence [enthusiast]. I always research when I hear fresh stories about domestic violence. Half the time, it is the women.

“God just gave us this running Okra mouth. Women, don’t fight with people who are stronger than you.”

Beverly Naya’s Opinion On Marriage Is Thought Provoking

Nigerian actress and model, Beverly Naya took to social media to state her opinion on relationships, says anyone can get married but not everyone can stay married.

The 28-year-old British-born screen goddess took to her Snapchat and wrote;

Don’t pray to God to give you a husband/wife. Pray for God to give you wisdom and a discerning eye to be able to use the knowledge that he has already given you to find the right person. Anybody can get married but not everyone can stay married.

Mothers of Adekunle Gold and Simi have spoken about their children’s exploit in the music industry and also the relationship between the duo. They both also talked about how it felt like when their children said they wanted to do music.

Simi’s mum said about Simi:

‘Even when she was in school she has always said she likes to be into music, she knew what she wanted to do and I have been encouraging her and any parent should encourage his or her child. Do not force your own ideas on your child. So she wanted to be in music and I pray for her, encourage her, entrust her into the hands of God so I am happy that she is doing what she is happy doing’.

‘If she was working in the bank she wouldn’t be a happy person, this is what she wanted to do, she is happy doing it and I am happy for her’.

Simi’s mum also spoke about how it was when her daughter was yet to make it big in the music industry.

‘At the beginning when the music was not moving on well, but being a child of God I’ve always trusted God that eventually thing will work out better and we are where we are today’.

Speaking in an interview with HipTV, Adekunle Gold’s mum revealed the tussle within the family when her son decided to go into music. She said she was surprised when Adekunle Gold wanted to quit his job for music adding that he is the only son and the first child.

When asked about Adekule Gold’s relationship with Simi, Adekunle Gold’s mum said, ‘Simi is such a cool, diligent, amazing, caring and loving lady. That’s all what i can say’, she said.

Runtown Subtly Shades Mr. Eazi For Saying Nigerian Artistes Copy His Music Style

It seems a beef is loading between Runtown and Mr Eazi, and this comes after the latter accused colleagues of ripping off his style.

Recall that in January, the Skintight singer took to Twitter to pay homage to Ghana and asserted that the new sounds coming out of Nigeria are deeply influenced by works churned out from Ghana.

Also in a recent interview, Mr Eazi fired direct shots at his Nigerian colleagues saying they are all ripping off what he started; mixing Ghanaian sounds/words with Nigerian ones to make hit songs. Though he didn’t name names, we all know that Runtown is chief among them.

Now, Runtown is shading the heck out of Mr Eazi for making that statement, using the opportunity to reveal that he is set to drop another song influenced by Ghanaian sounds. And if Mr Eazi doesn’t like it, Runtown thinks Mr Eazi can go and hug a transformer.

Rapper, Onome Onokohwomo, aka Yung6ix, is not happy with comedian, Akpororo, at the moment. A new war is ragied between Akpororo and Yung6ix, and it degenerated into a nasty situation after the rapper’s DJ dragged the comedian’s family into messy affair.

It will be recalled that last weekend, Akpororo while cracking a joke at an event said that instead of spending over N3m in a club, Yung6ix should have used the money to buy himself a hit record.

Expectedly, the joke did not go down well with Yung6ix, who took to his Instagram page to write,

In a statement by his management, Yung6ix said,

And when you cross the line, you should be ready for the consequences. Musicians spend millions just to shoot one music video, so you can’t just come from nowhere to take shots at someone who is working so hard. That is wicked and selfish. If you live in a glass house, don’t throw stones.”

When Sunday Scoop sought to find out whether Akpororo had reached out to the rapper after that incident, he said, “No, he has not.”

Days after BBNaija’s Uriel turned down veteran rapper Ruggedman’s invite to his house, Ruggedy baba has finally spoke about the situation saying Uriel wasn’t and cannot be rude to him.

Speaking with Sunday Scoop, Ruggedman said,

“It’s nothing serious. It’s just people trying to blow things out of proportion. Uriel and I have been friends for over seven years and that’s why I could send her a message that way and we even joked about it. On future project, he said:

The newest song I have is titled, Is Police Your Friend, and I used it to talk about police harassment issues which have become too rampant. The song features the voice of the police PRO and she said that it is wrong for a policeman to check a citizen’s phone without a warrant. She also made clarification on other issues such as tinted windows’ permit, and others. I’ve also been going on a radio tour talking about these same issues. It’s all about entertaining and enlightening the people at the same time. I don’t have to be an ambassador of the police to take any step that would educate the people. As an artiste who has a voice, you should go beyond just entertaining to making an impact on social issues. The good thing is that the campaign that I have been championing has been yielding fruits.”

Explaining why it is taking him so long to get married, he said,

“I’ve not been that lucky when it comes to relationships. There was someone I was supposed to get married to, but her mum preferred somebody else who was richer than I was. I was just coming up in the industry then. However, she regretted it later. I want a woman who would understand and support my job. I want a woman who would be confident enough to know that she’s my number one even if she sees me with 10 women in public.”

A Nigerian dentist identified as Nebeokike Sunday has called out musician Phyno for not doing good dental care as a celebrity.

The Enugu-born dentist claimed that the singer does not have a white set of dentition. He further advised Phyno to go for teeth whitening with Sodium Perborate.
