Bobrisky, The male who look more like a female is well-known as a fashionista who is probably one of the most controversial Nigerian celebrity.

Early life 

Bobrisky was born Okuneye Idris Olarenwaju in 1992 at Ebute-Metta, Lagos into a Muslim family. He lost his mother in 2008 and his father is a retired transporter.

Education

He finished his secondary school education from King’s College in Lagos State and graduated from the department of accounting in University of Lagos, (UNILAG).

Rise To Fame

Bobrisky went viral when an aide to President Muhammadu Buhari and a marketing executive pulled out of appearing with him on a social media panel in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

He also became recognized by being highly controversial on social media. Bobrisky was able to gather traffic to his Snapchat account when he claimed he had a lover who is assumed to be of masculine gender despite the Nigerian constitution at that point in time which made such same sex relationships an offence punishable by serving 14 years in a penitentiary.

Career

He reportedly makes his living selling 100,000 naira ($317) skin-whitening creams while chronicling online his life of luxury in Lagos. He also made his debut as an actor in a recent movie, Ojuloge alongside Toyin Afolayan and Tayo Sobola.

Relationship

A lot of controversies trailed his relationship life as rumor spread that his lover could be a man. He has never directly refuted this claims but people have come to this conclusion because he uses cosmetics, dresses like a woman and whitens his skin.

Controversies

In 2016, the Media sensation and self aclaimed ‘African Barbie’, Bobrisky was arrested by the Lagos state police for allegedly beating up a lady whoallegedly took photos of him. Bobrisky got irritated and allegedly, physically assaulted her.

In October 2016 he posted a photo with N7 million, which he received from his business partner, patron, and supporter which he also calls ‘his bae’

Bobrisky and Fashion designer Toyin Lawani had a social media rift after Toyin allegedly shaded him supposedly calling him a riff-raff and the bleaching cream expert rained down insults on her.

He also had the internet abuzz with news of him when he opened up about his housewarming party plans. Saying, it is an all ladies affair and that the asoebi for guests is forty five thousand naira (#45,000).

Also a US-based Nigerian hairstylist called out the controversial socialite for not paying for her services despite the challenges faced in plaiting his short hair.

Bobrisky has had several issues with Tunde Ednut ranging from when the latter released unedited photos of him and more recently when Tunde Ednut alleged that Bobrisky quietly moved out of his house over rent issue.

Achievements 

Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade, Google’s Communications and Public Affairs Manager, Anglophone West Africa, said Bobrisky was most searched individual from October 26 to November 2016.

At some point, Bobrisky was the trendiest person on Snapchat and scored more than 30 thousand views a day.He has also been recognised internationally on various platforms.

Bobrisky has also been asked by certain event planners to come and give a speech at their events.

IK Ogbonna, in a recent interview gave his controversial views on the definition of cheating was not accepted by many Nigerians.

The actor who has received many backlash since the video went viral today has taken to his Instagram to justify what he said.

“So normally I’ld see a post of myself and let it slide , but in this case I’ld address it coz it was represented in a way and manner that speaks contrary to everything I represent .
From my little understanding cheating (in general) is when someone acts dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage, especially in a game or examination or even a real life situation. IF YOU GOT TO HEAR THE FULL INTERVIEW (not only 20 sec of it) you would understand that I am NOT in support of men or women having SEX with other people aside the one the call their own . Firstly,sex with anyone that’s not ur wife or husband a sin against God . However,I was trying to say that

Breaking a vow is worse than an act we would refer to as cheating(just casual sex), and when I say VOW I refer to a spiritual&emotional nut between two people. The truth is, Sex in our age and time has been reduced to a recreational activity,and so sorry to say, has made it loose its value in so many ways because it’s easy to find and to get. As much as possible I preach that we should build self control and focus on one person but when we look at things from the rear view of reality having sex without being emotionally attached to the person can slide as a casual event (still 100% wrong) and still means you disrespected your partner (in)directly,you hurt his/hers feelings and worst of all: break the trust that y’all were building for so long.

But in this case I was referring to people that invest emotions and feeling in some other person whilst their spouse falls into the disadvantage (wether you are having sex or not). In this case the other person (your partner) suffers coz now you have to share your time , finance, and emotions that should be the sole rights of that one person you choose to build your life with. How Mr 2Kay Was Robbed At Gunpoint After “Buckwyld N Breathless” Performance

Singer, Abiye David Jumbo popularly known as Mr 2Kay was reportedly robbed at gun point in his hotel room at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The incident happened at about 11 PM on Sunday, October 22, 2017, during the “Buckwyld N Breathless” concert where he also performed.

The robbers, 4 in number were said to have gained access into Mr 2Kay’s room after he mistook one of them for room service. They forced their way into the room and waved a gun with threats to shoot him if he made any noise.

According to PR Consultant Sakpaide Ogaga, Mr 2Kay, was in the room with a friend and struggled with one of the robbers, as the others punched and hit him with a gun, repeatedly warning that they will shoot if he doesn’t calm down. One of the robbers led and locked 2Kay’s friend in the bathroom, while the others tied the singer’s arms, legs and mouth and took his valuables including jewelry, clothes, perfumes, phones, and money. They also cut the room’s intercom (phone) to avoid any form of communication as they left the hotel.

The hotel authorities and police have taken statements for investigation, while Mr. 2Kay is getting medical attention for his wounds.

James Silas, Manager of Grafton Records where Mr 2Kay is signed to said:

I was quite shocked when I got to Mr. 2Kay’s room last night. This was somebody I watched perform some minutes before the incident. Anyway, the hotel authorities and police are already investigating the incident and we hope they’ll apprehend the criminals as soon as possible.

Omawumi performed at World Food Price, in Iowa U.S, and got the 2017 Laureate, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwumi Adesina on his feet.

Adesina who is also the current President of the African Development Bank received the award at the event held on Thursday at the Iowa in the United States.

The event had in attendance representative from 50 countries in the world’s agriculture community.

Two former African presidents including Nigeria’s former president Olusegun Obasanjo and other top Nigerian officials were at the event alongside the vocal goddess, Omawumi.

This Is What Inspired Davido To Do His Verse In ‘Osinachi Remix’

Nigerian superstar singer, Davido, who sat for a chat with Ukrainian TV personality, Magdaline Nonkwia, during his Europe tour in Ukraine, talked about his career, his hit singles, ‘Fall’ and ‘IF’, his babymama and why he gave that verse in Humblesmith’s Osinachi remix.

On becoming a singer, Davido who slammed bloggers and social media hater said;

Comedian Ali Baba on his Instagram wrote about the increase of able bodied beggars around the country.

Ali Baba shared a video of a handicapped vulcanizer fixing a tire, and with it a lengthy caption.

There is this one, a tall, lanky grey bearded one that wears an oversized jacket always, I have known him to beg since 1998!!!! Stop encouraging laziness. Your generosity toward such lazy people don’t count as charity.

A friend advised his cousin, who came to beg for a 50k loan, to pick up a job as fuel attendant at a new Petrol Station in Lekki. She even added that she would put in a word for him since she was the account officer to the owner.

The cousin didn’t tell her yes or no, It was the cousin’s mum that called her to ask her what she meant by telling her son to go start selling fuel.

One of the neighbours who the mum had complained to before calling to blast her, was to later meet her one Sunday after church service, to ask for the attendant’s job. She called the owner and luckily there was an opening.

Interestingly, the opening came up because one of the attendants left for Youth Service in Ebonyi. Meanwhile Mr Cousin, a SCHOOL cert holder, is too big to sell fuel.

You people should continue encouraging nonsense and still be wondering where we got it wrong.

The character might start as a bad person who later turns good. That’s a good story line. Everything or everyone mustn’t come out clean. As long as someone is employing me to play a role, because they know I can do the job, then people expect me to turn the job down because I am spiritual? In this industry, once you reject a job, thousands others are willing to grab it. I also have to show my professionalism. Some doctors have to do something to protect their career, but they can’t come out and say it. But all eyes are on actors; people judge every move we make. Sorry to disappoint you people, if I have to kiss in a movie, I’ll do it well because I am a professional. I can kiss but I can’t do nudity because that’s like the extreme.

Would you say you are a jealous lover?

Everybody has this iota of jealousy inside of them. So, if you say you don’t, then I doubt if you are a human being. I guess I am, but with time, I have learnt how to control it.

How far would you go to protect your relationship?

I’ll only be in a relationship with a matured mind, someone who knows the kind of job I do and understand me well. We would have mutual respect for each other. Whatever happens, I’ll always respect my partner and whatever issues we have, we’ll settle it indoors.

Popular Nollywood actress and mother of two boys, Shan George, has shared another throwback picture of herself as a young 16-year-old bride-to-be.
