Davido Set To Be The First African Artiste To Perform At MOBO Awards And He’s Elated

Just after winning MTV EMA Best African Act 2017, Nigerian singer, Davido just made history again as he will become the first African artiste to perform at MOBO Awards 2017 which will hold at the ‘First Direct Arena’ in Leeds, UK, on November 29.

The Awards show will be hosted by Maya Jama and Marvin Homes, which will broadcast on UK Channel 5 at 11pm. Other acts that will be performing at the event include Cardi B, Krept & Konan, Stefflon Don and Music Week On The Radar stars Yungen plus Yxng Bane.

Wizkid Confirms The Birth Of His 3rd Child In The Most Spectacular Way

Rumours have been making the rounds that superstar singer Wizkid has welcomed another child.

While there is no confirmation yet, the singer just posted “Zion Ayo-Balogun 🍼🍼🍼 #Godsblessing! ❤️”” on his Twitter page which we assume might be a confirmation of his son.

It is believed that the baby boy was born two weeks ago in London and this new baby is Wizkid’s 3rd son in 6 years.

According to a source:

“He got his manager, Jada Pollock pregnant earlier this year, Wiz and Jada got into a romantic affair months after they started working together. He’s a bit reckless but she really has it for him,”

How Burna Boy Hired A Four-Man Gang To Rob Mr. 2kay At Eko Hotel

The police yesterday declared popular musician Damini Ogiulu, alias Burna Boy, wanted for his alleged involvement in the attack on his colleague, David Abiye, alias 2Kay.

Acting Police Commissioner Imohimi Edgal yesterday said investigations conducted and confessions from some of the suspects arrested showed that Burna Boy contracted them to teach 2Kay a lesson.

Abiye was attacked by four armed men inside his room 847, at Eko Hotels, Victoria Island on October 22. The singer, who was beaten and tied up by the armed men, allegedly lost his Audemais Piquet (AP), automatic gold wristwatch worth $25,000, gold jewellery valued at N1.5million, mobile phones, a pair of Adidas shoes, cash and perfumes to the thieves who posed as hotel workers.

The suspects are Balogun Ademola, 23, Obinna Igwe, 20 and Omotore Tunmise, 27.

Ademola and Igwe are said to be students of the University of Lagos. Tunmise is an artisan. “The gang confessed that Burna Boy, through his road manager, Joel Kantiock, paid them to rob Abiye, according to them, to teach the victim a lesson. Kantiock confessed that his boss Ogiulu instructed him to look for armed men that can rob Abiye to teach him a lesson.

He mobilised the gang with an initial cash sum of N50,000 and a subsequent N50,000 when the job was completed.”
Kantiock however, denied knowing any of the suspects. But the gang leader, Omotore, said Kantiock invited him to deal with Mr. 2Kay on the orders of his boss.

He said,

“Kantiock called me on the telephone and said Mr. 2Kay had to be beaten up. He said Mr. 2Kay had issues with Burna Boy. On getting to the hotel, he gave me the room number where Mr. 2Kay was.
He led me and three others, including one Sunny, to the elevator and told a security man to open the elevator for us. We posed as room service officials, entered his room and beat him up. We tied him up and collected his phones, a wristwatch and some other things. I was paid N50,000.”

According to Igwe:

“Omotore contacted me. He said Burna Boy told his road manager that he was having a misunderstanding with Mr. 2Kay.”

Britain is marking the 70th wedding anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip.

In honor of their 70th wedding anniversary, the royal palace released new portraits of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip this week, showing the long-lasting couple ahead of their landmark milestone.

Taken by British portrait photographer Matt Holyoak, the images show the couple in the White Drawing Room at Windsor Castle. The Queen, 91, wears a yellow gold broach that Philip, 96, gave her decades ago in 1966, according to People.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh wed exactly 70 years ago on Nov. 20, 1947, when she was 21 and he was 26. The ceremony took place at Westminster Abbey — the coveted spot for marriages in the Royal Family. The Queen’s parents King George VI and Queen Elizabeth wed there in April 1932, and Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, had their ceremony there in 2011. (Queen Elizabeth was the 10th member of the Royal Family to be married there, according to The Royal Family’s official website.)

Nigerians Won’t Stop Calling Dammy Krane A Fraudster And He’s Unhappy About It

Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane who was arrested in United States for an alleged credit card fraud which he got acquitted from, in a new video begged Nigerians to stop calling him as a fraudster and focus on other pressing issues.

Dammy Krane has expressed his displeasure with Nigerians, whom he claims still call him a fraudster following his arrest and subsequent release for credit card.

The singer further disclosed that he will be holding a movement against fraud on the 14th of December, which will hold at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

Paul Okoye, has again blamed his twin brother, Peter, for Psquare’s break up. Paul stated this while performing solo during Sunday night’s Phynofest music carnival at ‘The Cathedral’, Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu.

The convener of the show and rap king, Phyno, had after performing his popular duet with Olamide ‘Fada Fada’ alone apologised for the ‘Wo’ crooner’s absence in this year’s show.

‘”But I have a surprise for you”‘, he told the disappointed crowd.

He then started his collaboration song with Psquare, ‘Financial Woman,’ at which point Paul, who now goes by the stage name Rudeboy, joined him on stage to sing the song’s chorus.

At the end, Paul in response to questions from the crowd on the whereabouts of his brother replied that Peter was in America and burst into laughter.

Paul would go on to perform a few of the group’s old songs but the crowd kept asking him about the whereabouts of his brother Peter.

At a point, he stopped the singing to reply to their questions and he blamed his brother for their break up.

Paul who spoke to the crowd in Igbo language said his brother’s desire to embark on personal talent discovery led to the brake up of the group.

“We were singing together when my brother said he wants to go and discover his talent. I had no choice. But guess what, I have my brand new song titled Fire Fire,”

Paul told the crowd before singing the song released last week.

But understanding that commitment is greater than feelings is the great arsenal that do destroy that impulse.

We are too fond of loving when it’s convenient and sweet. We are too fond of loving when love is there but that can only last for just the first 3-6 months of the relationship. Relationships cannot be readymade. You have to build it and it’s never always about love, it requires commitment and intelligence. On the long run in marriages, it’s not just love that keeps them together forever, it’s determination and commitment.
Everyone falls in love; it takes little or no effort to do that. But staying in love? Building a relationship? Only the strong and committed ones do that.
That’s why we must find that one person and commit to that one, discipline yourself and bridle your emotions.
