In a video shared on his IG page this morning, singer and record label owner, Harrysong, called out Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, for doing nothing about the increasing rate of communal clashes in the state, particularly the clash between the Ogbe Ijaws and Aladja people.

In the video, Harrysong accused the governor of not being a leader. According to the singer, Governor Okowa is a businessman who just wants to make money for himself and his family. In his post, Harrysong wrote

‘I woke this morning highly infuriated and troubled about how much Nigerian politicians have raped this country without a conscience. Even my state Governor, Sen. IFEANYI OKOWA is worse. All The Details On Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Royal Wedding Next Year

Prince Harry and Miss Meghan Markle have announced that they will marry at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle in May 2018 – a month after Kate Middleton is due to have her third child.

A notice from Kensington Palace said the Queen has given permission for the wedding to take place at the chapel, where Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles had part of their service when Charles remarried in 2005.

According to the Telegraph, It has been a traditional venue for royal weddings ever since the future King Edward VII married Princess Alexandra of Denmark in 1863, according to The Telegraph.

The chapel can accomodate 800 guests – a much smaller venue than the 2,000-guest strong Westminster Abbey, where Prince William married Kate Middleton.

The palace also confirmed that the Royal Family will pay for the wedding, including the church service, music, flowers, and reception!

Markle, who is American, will become a British citizen, according to the palace. The notice also said that she is a Protestant, and will be baptised and confirmed into the Church of England before the service.

Eldee’s Message On Slavery In Nigeria And Libya Is Thought-Provoking

Rapper turned IT Consultant eLDee has decried what he has described as “other forms of slavery that exists on the continent and beyond.”

In light of the recent news about the auctioning of African migrants in Libya, eLDee has asked that while we continue to condemn that, we also look inside to inspect the way we enslave others.

He gave the example of “house-helps” from Togo and Benin, who work from dusk to dawn every day for their masters to get paid N10,000 a month.

He wrote on his Twitter page:

While we’re on the topic of slavery in Libya, I hope we also find time to reflect on the slavery & human trafficking in many of our African homes as well. Those “house-helps” from Benin/Togo whose masters get paid 10k every month to do chores from dusk till dawn.

I’m talking about the ones you kick and scream at all day to do your house chores, watch your kids, do your laundry, dishes, cook etc. The ones you pay less than $50 a month to the man/woman who brought him/her from Benin/Calabar/Akwa Ibom/Togo. Yes, that is also #Slavery.

Lets not only kick against slavery when it is convenient. If you really want to take a stand, Let go of the unfortunate teenager that is slaving away in your quarters right now. You are not very different from the Libyan who paid for slaves to do his chores.

We must take a stand against ALL forms of Slavery. It is not only slavery when it is against black people by other races, it is also slavery when it is black on black. Take a stand today, tell your friend, your family & your neighbors to let go of their slaves.

The fact that it is a part of our culture doesn’t mean we can not evolve. As we learn and become more aware, we must change our ways and replace our practices with more sensible and more humane ones. Free your slave(s) today!

I’ve had this argument with many who confuse slavery with employment. You can not employ a child for labor and pay the wages to his/her “master/parent/uncle”. That is #slavery and it is wrong.

There’s little difference in the sex worker that was trafficked to Europe and your house help that was trafficked from the village. So long as the trafficker is who gets paid for their work, they’re both working towards regaining their freedom, it is #slavery.

And please don’t get all defensive, we’ve all unwittingly either practiced or tolerated it at some point. I’m not just on a self righteous rant, we must recognize it for what it is. I’m glad we’re all upset about Libya as we should be. But there’s more to be upset about.

Contrary to insinuations that Wizkid’s latest hit,Manya was taken down from Youtube for other reasons, it has been revealed that, the video was taken off his Vevo and Starboy accounts due to his contract with Sony.

The contract allegedly places a limitation on the amount of local content he can release.
This might explain why he didn’t release the video for Medicine featuring Flavour and Phyno,despite gushing over the video two months ago.

According to reports, the song, Manya is originally owned by producer,Mut4y of Legendury Beatz.It has now been removed from Wizkid’s account where it had amassed over 1.5 million views in a week. However, the video is still on Mut4y’s YouTube account where it has been viewed aover 80,000 times.

Paul Okoye is sorry, and now he deeply regrets that he brought his family issues on social media, and is not askign his fans to forgive him.

Paul while in a chat with Olisa Adibua on BeatFM, was asked about his sad family drama with his brothers, Peter and Jude.

Gbenga Adeyinka has apologised to Nigerians for posting a false claim that veteran comedian, Moses Adejumo, popularly known as Baba Sala was dead.

This is just after one of Baba Sala’s sons, Emanuel Adejumo, had dismissed the story as false.

He said “It is not true that Baba is dead. He is alive and he doesn’t even have a stroke.

This Is When Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Plan To ”Announce Their Engagement’

There were absolute scenes on Friday when word got out that the BBC had been “primed for a royal announcement ” about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s engagement.

And now it’s been reported that employees were indeed informed of an engagement, and got given details about the actual wedding too.

According to the Daily Star , staff from Buckingham and Kensington Palaces were called to a meeting on Friday afternoon, where, in front of the Queen, they were told that Harry and Meghan are engaged and that they’ll be having a “non-traditional wedding.”

“Her Majesty said Harry hasn’t got the same responsibility as William which I know Harry is very happy with,” a source told the paper of their desire to shun a big state affair.

However, the insider said it was also confirmed that the engagement won’t be announced until next week at the earliest, and that it could actually happen AFTER Christmas.

“They are engaged but they are trying to sort a few things out now, like house hunting for a retreat and other things,” added the insider.
“It will be up to them to decide when to announce it as they want to do it their own way, which Her Majesty agrees with.”

A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace has responded to the mounting engagement chatter, insisting to Hello! magazine that they will “not give a running commentary on Harry’s love life”.

However, Meghan is believed to have touched down in London earlier this week, and has even shipped her dogs over ready for her new life as a royal.But it seems she is certain she and Harry will marry soon – meaning she’ll no longer be able to continue acting.

“Meghan knows she can’t really act at the same time as being a princess and is happy to make this career sacrifice,” a source told the Daily Star.
“She really enjoys her charity work with Unicef and will broaden out her charity commitments when she becomes a full-time royal.”

Seyi Shay Recounts What She Learned From Her Fall On AFRIMA Stage

Even though she didn’t win big like Wizkid and Tiwa Savage, Seyi Shay was the centre of attention at this year’s All Africa Music Awards after falling on stage while performing.
While speaking with Sunday Scoop, the singer said she was so bitter with everyone when she went backstage.

She said,

“At backstage, I was blaming everyone. I blamed my stylist, the designer, and my manager. I even blamed the stage. But the truth is that what is meant to be will be. I think with every lesson, there is a blessing.

“I knew that when I got off the stage and opened my phone, there would be so much talk about my fall. Like I expected, by the time I got to my room, Instablog9ja already had 40,000 views.”

According to her, the AFRIMA’s experience was the first time she would be experiencing such an embarrassing moment.

“You know everybody has a first time. Wizkid, Davido and even Beyonce have suffered similar fate in the past. She fell from the stage. Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez have fallen on stage as well.

“So, when you think about all these stars and their experiences, you will realise that you are not different from them and you are not immune to mistakes as well. I see my fall as a very humbling moment of my life,” she added.

Immediately she left the Eko Hotel and Suites venue of AFRIMA, she went to the studio with her manager and Klem, the songwriter who wrote ‘Yolo Yolo’, to make a song.

She stated,

“The title of my new song is The Fall, and it has to do with the AFRIMA’s experience. I plan to drop the song next month. Sometimes, when misfortune happens, you have to look at the positive side and all the opportunities in it to turn the misfortune into fortune. That’s what we are doing right now.”

She wondered how she picked herself up after she fell, saying she was just conscious of the fact that it was a live show and she couldn’t let Nigerians down.

“I guess the fall just brought out the best in me. It made me realise that I wasn’t invincible. Since I knew that it was a live show, watched by everyone across the globe, I couldn’t embarrass my country. I had no choice but to get up and finish the show.

“It was the dress I wore that caused the fall, but most people didn’t know that. I stepped on it and the material dragged me down. I will be 100 per cent careful when considering my costume going forward,” she noted.
