Davido Throws Weight Behind Kiss Daniel Over Lawsuit With Former Label

We had earlier reported that Kiss Daniel’s estranged label, G-Worldwide, had slammed the YEBA singer with a law suit. It would also interest you to know that Kiss, has replied with a counter claim.
However, DMW boss, Davido, seems to be strongly behind Kiss Daniel as his remarks have shown.
The FIA crooner encouraged Kiss Daniel saying “Baba dey drop your hits dey go” and in response to Davido, Kiss replied saying “Steady G!”
Here’s the conversation between the duo:

G-Worldwide Slams Kiss Daniel With More Court Papers And It’s Messy

The current legal tussle between Nigerian sinnger, Kiss Daniel and his former label, G-Worldwide is getting messier.
Yesterday, Kiss Daniel through his lawyers replied his record label who had filed an injunction against him at a Federal High Court. According to Kiss Daniel and his team, they had not been served any letters or court documents.
Now, his former label has fired back saying Kiss Daniel and his team are trying to mislead the public with misinformation.
Nigerian singer, Kiss Daniel who left his former record label G-Worldwide Entertainment to launch his own label ‘Fly Boy Inc’, has been dragged to court for allegedly breaching the seven year deal he signed with his former record label in 2013.

Toyin Lawani Cries Out, Says Bobrisky Attempted To Have Her Killed

Toyin Lawani Cries Out, Says Bobrisky Attempted To Have Her Killed

Toyin Lawani has released an official statement, via her media team, concerning the back and forth between her and social media sensation, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky.
The pair have been in an online spat for some time now, from Toyin referring to Bobrisky as a riff raff to him saying his arrest was issued by her, allegedly.
Read her official statement below:
Speaking on her first encounter with Bobrisky, Toyin Lawani says:
Bobrisky came to Tiannah’s Empire as a customer sometime in 2015 and pleaded with my attendants that he wanted to meet me as he needed some remedy for his bad skin. After administering treatment on the skin and was cured of his skin irritations, he testified that people would not stop asking about where and how he got his skin treated. He then told me he was a student at University of Lagos (UNILAG) and would love to market Tiannah’s Glow natural products. As he was a living testimony, I began by giving him some of the products and allowed him earn 40 percent on the products he sold. I also recommended a full body polish via Tiannah’s spa which helped to treat his skin infections and cleared his dark knuckles. I also advised him on how to take care of his body odour as my clients started complaining and would usually have to spray air fresheners every time he stepped into the fashion floor at the Empire. He took offence that I advised him about his body odour but the truth was that it was really bad and caused us a lot of embarrassment at some events including a top society wedding he forced himself to attend with me.
He worked with me for only about two months but even in that time period, he caused a lot of harm than good… He was also manipulative and was always trying to cause problems between me and my staff or friends. On one occasion, we went out together and there were complaints about his appearance which I told him about. I subsequently received a text message from an unknown number expressing admiration for Idris and his eyelashes, also asking me to introduce them. I suspected he sent the message because he spelt ‘lashes’ as ‘latches’ having seen him make the same mistake several times publicly so I confronted him. He initially denied it but subsequently admitted and apologised following which I banned him from entering my Empire again. At that point, I realised I needed to put him at arm’s length. It also coincided with the time a lady came to my store to allege that Idris claimed to be the one mixing my beauty products for me. It was a ridiculous claim because my mother started the business over twenty (20) years ago and it has grown beyond the phase of mixing products with hands. We have machines doing all of that in our factory.
Concerning claims made by Bobrisky that Toyin Lawanii allgedly swindled him of the sum of N250,000 she said:
He was owing my company almost N200,000 around the time after repeatedly buying clothes on credit and I informed him that I would use the money he paid towards the purchase of the speakers as his balance which would leave him with a balance of N65,000 and I gave him a cheque for that amount.
Few days after I issued him a warning, Idris came to Tiannah’s Empire with a black polythene bag and the security guards prevented his entry. I went downstairs to ask what he wanted and he said he had come to apologise for his misdeeds. He handed me the polythene bag and when I opened it, I saw white clothes and a guinea fowl inside. I threw the bag on the floor and asked one of my employees, Dayo, to burn it while also warning Idris to never again visit me with such gifts.
I collapsed the next day and started bleeding heavily following which I was rushed to Ave Maria Hospital. I was informed the incident was linked to pre-existing concerns with fibroid but I believe it was caused by the diabolical items Idris brought as a supposed gift. I had a surgery and remained in the hospital for two months before I was discharged. As soon as I returned to work, Idris showed up at the Empire, saying he heard I was ill but that he came for cash as the bank did not pay him because they could not reach me to confirm the cheque while I was hospitalized. I took the cheque from him and gave him cash then bid him bye.
On Bobrisky saying he paid N26,000 for Toyin’s meal she said
I reached out to Idris to reprimand him but he only responded with threats. I initially dismissed the threats but I had to eventually report to the police when I noticed strange cars trailing my kids and I on different occasions. He has also been trying to pull down my brand, sending messages to my clients that I sell substandard materials to them or that I intend to have affairs with their spouses. He also falsely claimed that I was not paying my staff, of which I have almost 100 members of staff working for me, who I also support in many ways such as sending their kids to school and starting businesses for them. None of my workers can honestly claim I owe them salaries, so I really had no choice but to report Idris to the police.

Adekunle Gold Is A Prudent Spender In ‘Money’ Video

Adekunle Gold Is A Prudent Spender In ‘Money’ Video

Adekunle Gold releases the official video for his latest single “Money“.
Directed by Aje Filmworks, the video showcases Adekunle’s value for money no matter how small the denomination.
Inspired by one of Adekunle’s trips to Dubai, the concept of the video shows what he wants his life to be like financially.
Money is an urban highlife song that speaks volumes about the realities of being without money; it expresses the singer’s prayers to God to help him out of his financial situation.
Following “Only Girl” and “Call On Me”, “Money” is the third single and video off Adekunle’s highly anticipated sophomore album, About 30. If these singles are anything to go by, then this album might even be better than his debut album, Gold.

Lola Okoye Wants To Be Commissioner Of The Most Hilarious Thing Ever

Reacting to news that Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha has appointed his sister as a Commissioner for Happiness and Couples Fulfillment, Peter Okoye’s wife, Lola Omotayo took to IG and wrote;
Around mid this year Governor Ambode @akinwunmiambode launched the “Cleaner Lagos Initiative” CLI to tackle the problem of environmental nuisance in this beautiful state of ours. Well as we all know, urinating in public is illegal and not acceptable in most parts of the world but then why should our country be any different and still tolerate this gross behaviour? It is no more a case of an emergency….like u really must go. Now it is almost like part of our daily lives.
A gateman for example guarding a building or home, sits in front and decides hey, let me take a piss! He whips his “prick” out and proceeds to make it rain on your nicely manicured front garden or on your fence with no care in the world who sees him. There is no shame in this pissing game o! Now, since Governor Rochas Okorocha swore in a lady today as HAPPINESS COMMISSIONER I am pleading with Governor Ambode to hire me as HACK-A-PENIS COMMISSIONER for Lagos State. My friends know that my OCD is off the chains so with that role I will ensure that our environment is ride of unruly penises that are guilty of disorderly conduct. I shall walk around streets with a large pair of shears to HACK-A-PENIS that breaks the law. LOLA FOR COMMISIONWER! LOL!

How Joke Silva Accidentally Discovered She Was An Adopted Child

How Joke Silva Accidentally Discovered She Was An Adopted Child

Speaking at the August occasion of the Annual Conference of Heritage Adoption Support and Advocacy Group (HASAAG) which had the wife of the Vice President, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo in attendance, Joke Silva-Jacobs gave a vivid account of her experience as an adopted child.
Born 56 years ago, not many knew that Olu Jacobs’s pretty wife, Mrs. Joke Silva-Jacobs was adopted by the Silva Family.
According to kemiashefonlovehaven, Joke was living in a foster home of the Red Cross in Yaba, Lagos, and she recalled that her foster parent was Mrs. Desalu.
She said;
“Everybody would be calling me whenever my adopted mum (Dr. Silva)came with cakes and a lot of things during her visit. I went to YWCA Nursery, which was not too far from the Silva’s home in Yaba. I also have memories of moving in with them when they moved to Glover Road in Ikoyi.
I remember reading newspapers to my Dad in our sitting room and pronouncing Brig-General Aguyi Ironsi, the then Nigeria Head Of State, Agolo Iresi! My father could not stop laughing at my hilarious interpretation of the newspaper.
Also I remember making them proud, when performing at St. Saviour School. My parents would be standing and were congratulated by other parent too for my acting skills. My parents were so excited that this child was incredibly talented.
At Holy Child Lagos
I have memories of going to Holy Child College Lagos because my parents insisted on me going to Holy Child because that is where Julie Coker, Pearce Olusola and Ibidun Allison went and they believed with all my performing talent skills, that is the kind of school I should go to too.
Revelation
I remembered going out with my cousin and we met a big cousin She introduced me as ‘my cousin’s daughter and this is Dr Silva’s daughter.’ Then, the older cousin was like, ‘Dr. Silva ke? Se Doctor Silva bimo ni? (meaning does Dr. Silva have a child?) . Did Dr Silva ever has a child?’
I was so confused and when I got home I told my mum, ‘I met this lady that says you never had a child.’ My mum froze and she said, ‘don’t mind them, they are used to rubbish talk.’
But I got to know years later when I wanted to travel and was looking for my passport where my mum kept it. Since she was not around, I opened the box in her absence and I saw my adoption papers. I never discussed it with my mum because I felt it was something that would hurt her, that was why, it was kept secret from me.
Joke’s Mum, Dr Silva
Amazing Parents But I had incredible memories of my amazing parents for allowing me to do my A Level in England and going to one of the best schools in Bournemouth (a seaside resort on the southern coast of England) coming back after my A level with two of them having an argument on what I was going to do because I had failed my A level having done it for the third time then.
I had done it thrice because I changed from science to Arts— I didn’t do well at all.
My father said, ‘Joke, go back and do your A levels again and my Mom said, let this girl go and do the drama.’ They came into middle ground, and as you can see I am still in drama today.
Bringing Olu Jacobs home
Several years later, I brought home the one I wanted to marry and my mum asked my husband, if he knew I was adopted and he answered in affirmation that I had already told him.
Many years later, there was another memory of a very nasty member of our family. My mummy always very supportive of her relatives sat on our balcony and said my aunty would never be supportive of her because in the Yoruba language, ‘won o kuku bimo’ (she never supported her because she didn’t have a child of her own.)
When I heard about it I did what Pastor Rapu called the unchristian thing. (May God forgive me. I dealt with her, till today, she never believed what I did that day to her, but I dealt with her by being so cold towards her. She would never forget it.
Letting my kids know
I then realized that I needed to tell my children about my adoption. I don’t want anybody to tell them in a way it wouldn’t be supportive. I called my children and I told them the ABC of my adoption story.
They now told me that grandma had already told them. It was then I learn that somebody in my son’s school had told him about his mum being adopted. He told grandma and grandma told him everything. Little wonder, my mum and Soji, my son were very close. Till she died, my mum my son remained inseparable.
Olu and I Lost Our Daughter
I have memories of my firstborn Dayo who died at the age of 10 and a half years. She was in coma and my husband would not allowed them removed her from life support until my mom came. He needed my mom’s approval then because grandma was so close to Dayo, they were inseparable.
She gave the go-ahead for her to be removed by saying she was better up there than making her suffer on life support. My mum was the one that saw us through because my dad already had a stroke and couldn’t be of help at all then.
I remember when my mother saw the health of my husband, who was deteriorating over the death of our daughter. She gave my husband a cheque of a hefty sum to go and complete the house we were building then. But because of how arrogant our husbands could be on matters like that, he rejected the offer of his mother-in-law, and quickly gathered himself together to go and complete the house.
Celebrating Late Parents
My mother is the first person who taught me how to pray and she told me, whatever the problem, her own father, Bishop Phillips, taught her to kneel down and pray on any issues bothering her life.
Whenever I go to her, she said, “Joke have you being on your kneels, oya take it to Baba God in prayer. Take it to daddy in prayer.”
In the Silva’s Will
Even in their wills, I was well protected. My Daddy being a lawyer said in his will that all his children, both adopted and biological, should be treated equally. I was not stressed in anyway. We were all well taken care of till my mum died at the age of 89. At 56, I still miss her but I know she has definitely gone back to her father.
On her sick bed I always sang her favorite tunes, she would be imputing the melodious tunes and she died singing to her Lord. She had prepared her family before my coming into her life because I had an incredible big Silva family.
I have a very big family I am the first daughter, I carried the responsibility of a first daughter. Everybody in my family cannot take any decision until sister Joke has come. I can’t call my parents adopted parents. They are my parents”

Mr Eazi Is Certain That Nigerians Still Love Him Despite The Controversies

Nigerians and Ghanaians have seemingly had a rivalry, especially on social media and with regards to music. Mr Eazi‘s declaration earlier in the year that Nigerian afrobeats music was derived from Ghana did not go down well with a lot of people on social media. He has faced a ton of backlash since then.

Most recently, Ghanaian dancehall act Shatta Wale was in the news for stating that he does not see Wizkid as a superstar and Nigerians came for him on social media.
Speaking to Hip TV, Mr Eazi explained that in the end, there is no real hate as we are all Africans. He also allayed fears that Nigerians may not want to have anything to do with him as he narrated the story of when he went to perform in Benin and received much love. The singer also spoke in glowing terms of his relationship with Temi Otedola.

When asked if he thought he was the greatest Nigerian musician, he said he feels like very little attention is being paid to content and as a result there hasn’t been a Nigerian musician in history with his songwriting prowess or vocal dexterity or stage presence with an exception from Fela, who is his mentor.

Mr. Anidugbe executed a 7-year Recording and Artist Management Contract (’the Contract’) with the Company in 2013 and which Contract is still subsisting.
“Contrary to the express provisions of the Contract, Mr. Anidugbe has taken steps to appoint a new manager, solicited for bookings, and has continued to negotiate and enter performance agreements in respect of the songs from the album NEW ERA, and EVOLUTION which is set to be released soon containing singles such as YEBA, FOR YOU, SENORITA, SOFA and others, both produced under the Contract, including using the stage name ‘Kiss Daniel’ without the Company’s prior consent and permission.

LIMITED Vs OLUWATOBILOBA DANIEL ANIDUGBE to affirm its rights over the intellectual property under the Contract i.e. copyrights over the songs in both albums, and rights over the stage name: ‘Kiss Daniel’.

By an application dated 20th November 2017, the Company sought interim orders of injunction, and other further orders as the Court may deem fit to make, against Mr. Anidugbe, retraining the Artiste’s further distribution, publication, or performance of these songs, or negotiating or entering any agreement thereof without the consent or permission of G-Worldwide Entertainment Ltd.
