Nollywood actress Shan George has been bereaved just 2017 was about to end. According to actress, her younger sister died in an accident spot 5 days after they made their Calabar carnival video.

“We made this Video 5 days ago when we both arrived calabar for d festivities. She arrived an hour ahead of me. After the carnival celebrations she decided to leave back to portharcourt her base, yesterday. But she never got home. My baby sister Queen had an accident and died on the spot. As she lies dead in the mortuary where her corpse was deposited since yesterday evening my heart is shattered into a billion pieces. Why you go and do me like this girl? U have been my pillar since mama got bedridden. I’m looking at all our carnival Pixs and videos of just 2 days ago. This is Damn hard. .
Rest In Peace Little One. Till we meet again. U live on in my heart.”

Instagram User Accuses Designer Of Lending Mercy Aigbe Her Wedding Reception Dress For Her Birthday Photoshoot

A Nigerian lady just called out the designer who made the dress, Mercy Aigbe wore for her 40th birthday photoshoot, claiming it was her wedding reception dress that was worn by the actress.

The Instagram user who goes by the name gave details of ho she had gotten the material for the dress and it delivered to designer, Rika Otoby me with a 50% upfront payment to have her reception dress made and delivered back to her few days before her wedding.

The designer allegedly did not deliver as promised even after sending a video proving that the dress was made. She offered the then bride-to-be another outfit claiming the delivery man disappointed her.

It was the following day the bride realised that there might have been some foul play.

Here’s Why Temi Otedola Is Not Having New Year Resolution In 2017

Temi Otedola, daughter of Nigerian billionaire oil magnate, Femi Otedola has explained the reason why she’s leaving New Year’s “Resolutions” in 2017 and focus on ‘Intentions’ instead.

In a piece shared on her blog, Temi wrote;

Here we go again. As I write this post on the final day of 2017, I think back to what this year held and what I’m hoping for in 2018. At the end of every year, I take about an hour or so looking back on my achievements, failures, lessons, and keep these in mind when considering what I would like to change at the start of the new calendar. But I have also found the conventional narrative of total-life-transformation at the start of every new year exhausting. A lot of us feel the pressure to completely metamorphose our lives. “This will be the year I cut all of the toxic people out of my life”, “this will be the year I loose 50 pounds”, “this will be the year I become financially independent”- the list goes on and on. For this New Year, I’m putting these overarching “resolutions” aside.

At the start of this year I made a list of about 5 things I wanted to change. They were the traditionally vague “resolutions”, and although 2017 was a crucial year for me, I can’t honestly say that many of these goals were wholly achieved. As I began to write this post, I also began to seriously question how useful resolutions truly are in the conventional sense… What does the term “resolution” even mean?

1. A firm decision to do or not to do something.

   synonyms: intention, resolve, intent aim, aspiration, design, purpose, object, plan

I mulled over this definition for a while. I’m all for positive thinking and making decisive moves for greater outcomes, but the actual term “resolution” still left me feeling rather uninspired.  Maybe there’s something overtly binary about choosing “to do, or not to do something”. The strict definition of “resolution” excludes contemplation, gradual progress, and all the other characteristics that make up the innate human flaws we face day to day. For example, if a resolution I had for 2018 was to posses more patience when dealing with others, it’s highly unlikely that I would be able to wake up tomorrow, on the 1st of January, and suddenly be able to have absolute patience in all situations. Wouldn’t it be more effective if we worked on smaller steps towards overall self-improvement?

Therefore, I will not have any New Year’s resolutions this year, only New Year’s intentions.

Intention

   synonyms: aim, purpose, intent, objective, object, goal target, end

There’s something about the word “intention” that seems much more fitting in facing the New Year. It’s a word loaded with potential, possibility, and attainability. Instead of overwhelming my hopes for 2018 with enormous statements that are daunting to tackle head on, I will set myself smaller, more tangible goals that can be confronted on a weekly or even daily basis. I truly believe that colossal, life-changing goals can be achieved from a combination of smaller actions. So, for example if my New Year’s intention was: “I want to run a marathon in 2018”, I wouldn’t immediately try to run all 26 miles, instead I would gradually increase the duration I run each week. Another example is if my New Year’s intention was: “I want to be healthy in 2018”, I could cut-out fizzy drinks in January, and then fast food in February. This method consistently includes new objectives as the year goes on, and so your continuously working towards an aim.

So, now it’s time to be completely honest with you. What are my 2018 intentions? You’ll see in the list below how specific I’m trying to be, as these larger goals will be broken down daily or weekly into smaller steps that I can start cultivating straight away.

On July 9, 2017, the world welcomed the two beautiful twins of Paul and Anita. They were born in a hospital abroad, but soon arrived to Nigeria to be properly introduced to their daddy and older brother. The twins are named Nadia and Nathan, and they are just the cutest babies in the world!

Popular Limbless Evangelist Nick Vijicic And Wife Welcome Twins

Australian evangelist and motivational speaker, Nick Vujicic, who was born without limbs has welcomed a set of twins with his wife Kanae, just ahead of Christmas.

Nick, who made the announcement on Facebook also disclosed that the twin girls have been christened Olivia Mei Vujicic and Ellie Laurel Vujicic.

Kanae welcomed the couple’s twin girls yesterday December 21, a happy news Nick has since shared with his growing online family. He wrote;

Sadiq Daba Has This To Say About Being Misdiagnosed By Nigerian Doctors

Veteran broadcaster and actor, Sadiq Daba, who was flown to UK for treatment over prostrate cancer that left him incapacitated, has reacted to an interview on Channels Television which claimed he was misdiagnosed by Nigerian doctors.

According to him, the misdiagnosis question by one of the interviewers did upset him and if not for the right referral by Nigerian doctors who took care of him very well, he wouldn’t have gotten his treatment in U.K. In a statement released on his behalf through Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, President of Campaign for Democracy, Sadiq said;

This was today at the Royal Marsden Hospital, Fulham Road; went to see Dr.Van as, the Ontologist. Will tomorrowgo to see Dr. Christopher Ogden, of London Urologists Associates, Devonshire Street, for my first in plant injection. Got a call this morning from my son about a certain interview on Channels Television about me and the assertion by one of the panelist that I was mis- diagnosed in Nigeria!! This is very far from the truth and it got me really, really up set. Nobody has spoken to me, so, where are they getting all that rubbish from? This is no way to help my situation, not by vilifying the same people who did all in their power to help me during my hour of need; it might interest those carrying this fake news, don’t know is that without a referral from the Doctors in Nigeria, nothing could have been done for me; all treatment given to me was based on the report I brought over from the Doctors in Lagos!!
Please,please help me correct this wrong and very dangerous impression being carried out by certain people over there in Nigeria… none of which is correct. I do hold Nigerian Doctors in the highest esteem, especially those under whose care I passed through.. Dr.Abimbola Abolarinwa and her team, Urology Dept.
