Don Jazzy expands his Mavin Empire – Meet the three new Artist Don Jazzy just signed to Marvin Records

Don Jazzy is not playing this year! The Mavin records CEO took everyone by surprise when he announced via his social media handles that he has signed three new artistes to his label.

The new Mavin artistes
Many were shocked because Mavin records is already home to a plethora of artistes like Iyanya, Tiwa Savage, Dija, Korede Bello, Reekado Banks, D’Prince, DJ Big N and Dr Sid signing these three artistes brings their number to 11. Add their producers Altims and Babyfresh, you have 14 full time musicians.
The signings just means that Jazzy really has big plans. Recall that he announced vacancies for some positions in the company. Only if we knew this was what he was planning.
Here are the three new artistes:
Johnny Drille

Drille is a rising star in every right. The Project Fame Alumni has already garnered a loyal following to his music. This is due to the fact that his songs are not the everyday Nigerian songs you hear. He is an alternative artiste.
Poe

Don Jazzy called him a rapper’s rapper and I agree. Poe also has a loyal following due to his laid back and easy rhymes.
DNA Twins
A lot of people have referred to them as the new PSquare but Blair and Clinton Roberts aka DNA twins are their own musicians. The duo who took part in reality shows Glo X-factor and The Voice are also very popular in Abuja and its environs. They also made the news when they were kidnapped sometime last year. Now that they have the backing of Mavin records, expect to hear and see more of them.
