“I was surprised to receive a call from him with a strange number. He said ‘Baby pray for me, I’ve just been robbed by robbers in Warri, and all my gadgets and money have been taken away from me, threatening to kill me also. I’m stranded and the event I’m supposed to attend here, I can’t make it anymore, no contact to communicate with anyone for direction, except yours.’

“I pray only to God to touch their minds, and as they have said, they will return the phones and other items taken, but only and if money will be paid to them without informing the police, which is not a problem,” Idara lamented.

Oladunni Churchill, the husband of Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has finally opened up about his marriage crisis

In a new interview with Toast magazine, Oladunni Churchill denies having a female PA and reveals that he hasn’t had access to his son who he misses so much as Tonto Dikeh won’t pick his calls.
See excerpts:
Toast: Recently, your househelp disclosed to an online media that you had issues with wife and you have not been at home just after your December foundation project last year?
Churchill: Every family has its ups and downs but I would not want to talk about my family.
Toast: It was said that after You left home, you were Alleged of having affair with your Female PA?
Churchill: Well, it’s funny to me, because I don’t have female personal Assistant, My PA is Mr Paul, who has been working with me over the years. Besides, it was a sponsored blackmail.
Toast: Gist had it that your wife Tonto Dikeh Churchill caused uproar in your mother’s home, i.e her mother- inlaw, when she was alleged to have pushed her down and broke everything in her house within 2 hours due to her marijuana reactions
Churchill: These issues are private to me and my family.
Toast: Rumour Has that because of domestic violence from you that your wife moved out with your son?
Churchill: I wonder where they got such gist from? I don’t believe my wife will say that, besides I frown against such even my foundation preach against domestic violence in some of our charity awareness campaigns. It is obvious that all these channelled attacks are targeted to drag my image and what I believe in to the mud. Well, the truth is that I have never raised my hands against my wife. I have evidence of CCTV Cameras in my mum’s house when this happened. It can be replayed if you what us to go that far.
Toast: The news earlier today posted and deleted by one Uche Maduagwu that you have relationship with Bobrisky and Swanky Jerry? What is your take on that?
Churchill: Truly, I did not see it posted because am not a social media person, but got wind of it later. It’s sincerely beats my imagination to think of such relationship…well, don’t know Bobrisky but got to know Swanky Jerry through my wife. I believe whoever my wife likes as a friend, I also take as a family friend. Am too busy to think of such unpleasant issues, let alone cooking up defence.
Toast: Your Son’s One Year birthday is few days from now, do you have plans to celebrate it? Guess you will be celebrating him with your wife?
Churchill: Oh! My son, I sure miss him so much. I have planned a worthwhile birthday party for him with friends and family members but it’s sad to say that all effort to reach him proved abortive, and this is affecting my business and emotions, The mum won’t pick calls and the nanny. Our son has been with the mother and not at home for now. I truly, should not be granting this interview if this is all about my family. Am very optimistic that the family will unite together for King Andrea birthday even though channels to reach my wife is temporarily off.
Toast: How Do You perceived all these happening in your family?
Churchill: I see nothing in it, it’s a phase of life. Since it does not affect my cheques and savings. But I truly want to call on bloggers or on social media addicts to verify facts before assuming. Every marriage has good and bad moments, it’s just unfortunate that I recently discovered that the alleged marriage instability is making headlines on some media platforms. Please Tonto Dikeh fans and well wishers take it easy on her, guess she is still adjusting to motherhood. With time, it will be well.
Toast: The news had it that your son owns his own company Kindred Realtors, a real estate firm, don’t you think he is too young?
Churchill: (laugh), the company Kindred Realtor was actually one of my companies before I changed it to our son’s name after his birth. I feel it’s one of his benefit to start building up a brand for him as he grows.
Toast: Sir, it’s been great talking with you, any last words?
Churchill: The adage of the old says ” He that washes his hands well, can eat with elders”…Remain focused, determined and be consistent.

Why I Sleep In A Coffin – Charly Boy

Nigerian controversial entertainer, Charly Boy recently revealed why he sometimes sleep in a casket.
Read his reasons, including responses to his fans’ criticisms below.
Sleeping in a Coffin?
Point of correction, I do not sleep in a casket, I sleep on my bed, it’s big and comfy, I only lay in my “casket”when I do my meditation because it helps me to be focused, it tells me more about the imminence of death. My casket is a reminder. It wakes me up from slumber. It tells me, “guy, you have got little or no time left, wake up, be creative and work”.
[like_to_read]

Of course, when I read some of the comments of my people, I know a good number of us are ill-informed about quite a number of things. I think it is more of what the casket represents that shocks my people and they start reading meanings into it, depending on their level of understanding. But one question is, what if the same wood that was used to build the casket was used to make a sofa chair? May be, all the hullabaloo about me sitting on a chair wouldn’t have been there in the first place? So when people vocalize their disapproval of my message via the image of a casket,  I understand that they do that from a position of Fear, fear of what the casket represents – Death. So whatever people fear they antagonize. But, the fact that I have reminded myself and even you about death does not really change a thing. It won’t draw your death near, and it won’t even shift it away. All it does is simply a reminder, to tread carefully.
My Coffin sensitizes
Only if a kidnapper can buy a casket for himself today, and begin to lay inside, constantly reminding himself that death looms even as he goes about kidnapping and extorting money from families. It’s possible to realize at a point that all his activities will one day end up in a casket, and there, his flesh will rotten. The same is applicable to all evil doers. They need to realize, like in the famous book, “Waiting for Godot” that the world is bizarre and empty, as vanity plus vanity will always end up in vanity. Crime no dey pay jor.
My Coffin preaches:
Take a critical look at my image inside the coffin, it speaks volume. I always lay in my casket with my cap, glasses, shoes on. I’m always well dressed. Yes, it is always done intentionally to tell us that your glory disappears with all the wealth you must have acquired the very day you go to that coffin. Your glory-your cap goes with you, your vision-your glasses goes with you; your struggle-your shoes goes with you. The only thing left of you is your history and your legacy. The crux of the message is to leave a legacy, so we can live forever, not in the physical, but in people’s memories.  As for me, I will live forever. You dey vex???
We are blind because of our fears
Who knows what any of us sees from the privacy of our own blindness? Make no mistakes, each of us is blind in a particular way, just as each of us is sighted uniquely. Consider how each of us is blinded by what we fear. If we fear heights, we are blind to the humility vast perspectives bring. If we fear Passion, we are blind to the comfort of Oneness. If we fear change, we are blind to the abundance of life. If we fear death, we are blind to the mystery of the unknown. And since to fear is something thoroughly human, to be blind is unavoidable. It is what each of us must struggle to overcome. To a large degree, I have overcome my fear of death, all I ask God, is that may my death not be painful. I’m sure some of you know how my cousin who was killed by kidnappers died an agonizing death. You see, in the course of our lives, we all stumble and struggle, repeatedly, in and out of relationship, in and out of the grace of the hidden wholeness of life, most of us struggle and stumble with the uncertainty of tomorrow as Nigerians. I have discovered that in the course of our lives, and as blind children, we may never know what we are called to be until we have learned what we are called to become by simply overcoming our fears. In life, death is the most important reminder of all activities.

“I Am Tired Of Man-Hunting” – Yemi Alade

Nigerian artiste, Yemi Alade has come a long way since she won Peak Talent Hunt Show in 2009. The half Yoruba and half Igbo singer in an interview with Sun talked about her past struggles, passion and marriage.

Last year was a fulfilling one for you as you got endorsed by many brands. Is the pressure getting to you?
No it isn’t. It is better to have so much to do than to be idle. And you know, one can’t get endorsed by similar brands at the same time. If after one or two years your contract expires, then, perhaps, a much more competitive brand would want to take over.
What project are you doing at the moment?
Well, I am still pushing my last album, Mama Africa. And I have dropped like four videos off the album. They include Mama Africa, Koffi, Nagode and Ferrari. And besides, I am working on more videos which would be released very soon.
Your last album was quite Afro-centric, what prompted that decision?
That was the focus. After all, the title is Mama Africa; it definitely had to be Afro-centric.
The music industry is dominated by male artistes, does that put pressure on you?
The pressure is there because I have to keep up with what my male counterparts are doing. It is also tough and challenging because in Africa, women are always looked down upon so there are a lot of physical and psychological issues that we tackle as African female artistes whether you are A-List or Z-list. Well, I have chosen to be on God’s list.
What is Yemi Alade’s staying power?
It is definitely God all the way day in day out. And also the team that doesn’t sleep. Shout out to Effizzy Music Group and of course, there is the passion because money can’t buy passion.
A while ago it was reported that you wore a dress worth N2.5M to an event, is that true?
(Laughs) Do you want to buy it from me? Well, you can check it out yourself., check the designer out. You don’t need to hear from me to confirm it. Just go online and see things for yourself.
Celebrities don’t usually wear the same dress twice. Do you intend wearing that gown ever again to any event considering the price?
Well, watch and see. That is all I can say for now; just watch and see.
Yemi Alade is among the top 10 most successful music stars in Nigeria. When is she getting married?
Well, whenever God decides.
So, in other words, you are still looking for your Johnny?
No! Not at all. He should be the one looking for me, I am tired of looking.
It is a popular trend that female celebrities date their male managers…
Male Manager nor be human being? The managers are there to take care of the career. But seriously, if I had a female manager would you be asking me all these?
Did you ever know you would come this far?
Well, I never knew but just the same, I am still a pencil in God’s hands; I am a moving train.
Could you share the journey of your humble beginning?
You know, music is a very intensive financial project. Omo, the hustle tough then ohMoney no dey to even use record the song wey you wan use blow.  Then I would meet producers and beg them to help out. I would volunteer to buy fuel for the generator so that at least, they can help me do a song. You know that kain thing. However, I thank God for Effizy Music Group for believing in me and investing what they had in my career. Ever since I have been moving higher and higher.
Did you ever think of quitting?
I have a BSc in Geography so when things got pretty tough I told myself ‘if worse comes to worst, I will dust up my certificate and pick up a white collar job.’ I thought about that alternative several times. It was God and the passion that kept me going.
