Girlfriend Of Comedian Who Was Burnt To Death In Ikorodu Pays Tribute To Him And It’s So Touching

It was earlier reported that on Saturday, July 1, police officers and the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) began raiding Ikorodu area of Lagos for the dreaded Badoo cult gang.

On that very day they were able to fish out about 15 suspects and by Sunday, July 2, another 100 suspected members of the gang were apprehended and taken into police custody. Following these operation, anyone whose face was not recognized in the area would be labelled a member of the dreaded group.

Such was the case of fast rising Nigerian comedian Chinedu Paul popularly known as MC Think 2ice who was killed in Ikorodu.

The young man was not only wrongly tagged a Badoo gang member but was burnt to death by an angry mob in the area. His family including his girlfriend has been in tears ever since his death was announced.

Late Chinedu’s lover Esther Demshak took to her Facebook profile on Monday, July 3, to mourn her dead boyfriend by posting several loved up pictures of them having fun with the caption:

“I can’t type anything Cus my hands are frozen. Thank you Jesus Baby I love you.I will still tag you cus I always tag you in all my posts Chinedu Paul.

Yvonne Nelson Expecting First Child

Ghanaian actress and film producer, Yvonne Nelson is reported pregnant.

According to multiple sources including Ghanacelebrities.com, the 31-year-old multiple award-winning actress is carrying her first child with an unknown man.

The “Single and Married” star actress is said to have been secretly married but is yet to show off her husband.

So far, Yvonne Nelson hasn’t confirmed the news on any of her social media pages but the rumours are spreading wide online.

Yvonne in her recent interview with BBC divulged her plans to get married this year after breaking up with Nigeria’s Iyanya.

Speaking to BBC’s Veronique Edwards, Yvonne said, “This year, I’ll be getting married this year.”

Yvonne Nelson, however, did not give out many details about her wedding plans or her fiancé.

UN says 38 probable mass graves found in DRC

The UN peacekeeping mission in the vast Central African nation of the Democratic Republic of Congo has reveal that another probable 38 mass graves have been found in the country.

That number means that at least 80 mass graves have been identified so far by the UN in a country that has been riddled with violence between troops and armed fighters which has reportedly killed thousands of people since August.

According to the UN, the latest mass graves discovered were found in the Diboko and Sumbula areas of Kamonia territory this month by an investigative team from the local UN human rights office and the DRC’s military justice authorities.

Worried by the bloodshed, the international community has expressed alarm over the violence in the once-calm Kasai provinces region of the country.

Some diplomats in the country have also suggested that the tensions are also tied to DRC’s presidential election that has been delayed since last year.

Mikel returns from injury

Super Eagles skipper John Mikel Obi has regained fitness and is ready to return to action three months after injury has kept him sidelined.

The Tianjin TEDA midfielder, who had just gone through a surgery to repair an abdominal strain, has made only three appearances since joining the Chinese Super League side in January, having one goal to his name.

The club have not won a match in their last five league games, and are placed 13th on the table with 14 points from 16 games – standing four points off the relegation zone

But Mikel told Chinese daily sports.enorth.com.cn on Wednesday how eager he is to return to the pitch with his teammates, expressing that his experience at Chelsea will help the team recover from their current situation.

“I’m back, back to Tianjin, my body and physical fitness has been restored, and now I feel better and better,” Mikel was quoted to have said.

“I hope to work side by side with my teammates as soon as possible.

“The team’s current situation is not good, but there are 14 rounds to play and there are a lot of points at stake.

“I spent several years at Chelsea and as an old player I have a lot of experience regarding this so I can help the team change the mentality and ideological aspects of the problem.

“We will start winning that’s no problem.”

Mikel’s last game with the team was in April when they won 2-0 over Chongqing Lifan in a League clash.

The 30-year-old captain will now lead his side to face Jiangsu Suning on Friday.

Uche Jombo’s hubby apologises to wife after photos of his alleged girlfriend surface

Kenny Rodriguez, the Puerto Rican husband of Nollywood actress Uche Jombo has apologised to his wife over alleged reports that he was dating a 22-year old student which sent wrong signals that their marriage may be in crisis.

Dispelling the perception, Kenny took to his Instagram page to shut down the rumours that he was in a relationship with a young African American student named Teresa, whom has allegedly been spotted with him on romantic dates in Dallas where he is based.

In his post on Instagram, Kenny said his loving wife is not deserving of such reports which in his opinion was negative and inappropriate.

Recall that some days after Uche Jombo denied that her marriage had crashed, pictures of her hubby with his alleged new girlfriend surfaced online.

Close watchers also raised eyebrows when Uche Jombo removed pictures of her husband from her Instagram page but hours after she denied having any marital issues with her husband noting that she is just keeping her marriage off social media for the time being.
